“I love a kickback machine. However, I don’t want to have my stomach/chest smashed by a pad. I also don’t want to kneel down / be on my knees and elbows, without any major support to push off of.I enjoy using one particular machine to do kickbacks. The motion is linear, no arcing; however, some would be nice. I use that machine by pushing off with my shoulder on the pad, rather than my chest/stomach, slightly bent over. (I’ve seen others use it this same way as well.) Doing the movement that way maxes out the machine when I’m fully extended, at 5’ tall.
